Making Movies

Dallas Road recently made its own short film. The project, titled 'Tig', developed from a script written by Year 6 children alongside multi-award winning comedy writer, Ian Martin. The script told the story of an alien invasion at Dallas Road School. 

Local film makers the Lancaster Film Initiative took up the challenge to turn the script into a movie with filming took place after school and in the holidays. The movie is now available on DVD and has been screened several times, including on its premiere at the Dukes CInema in Lancaster.

Through their involvement, Dallas Road children learnt a lot about the process of making a movie, developed their writing and acting skills and also had a lot of fun!
