Pastoral Support at Dallas Road

At Dallas Road, our Pastoral Support team is dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe, understood, and fully supported. We recognise that emotional wellbeing is essential for learning, and we work proactively to nurture each child’s social and emotional development.

Our provision includes a wide range of tailored support such as nurture groups, 1:1 pastoral sessions, small‑group interventions, and therapeutic approaches, e.g. Drawing and Talking and Seasons for Growth. These programmes help children process their feelings, develop resilience, and build strategies to manage challenging experiences. We also offer guidance for parents and carers, valuing the strong partnerships that help children flourish.

When additional support is needed, we work closely with external agencies to ensure families can access specialist services. As every child and family is unique, we adapt our support to meet individual needs, making sure it is meaningful, timely, and effective.

By building trusting, empathetic relationships and identifying concerns at the earliest opportunity, we aim to remove barriers to learning and help every pupil reach their full potential. Pastoral care at Dallas Road is a whole‑school commitment, with all staff working together to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
